Vibra-Technics (Vibra-Technics Automotive) was first founded in the early 1990's, from finding that there were fast & expensive sports cars being built with fairly crude engine mounts. Vibra-Technics manufacture and develop high quality fast road & race engine mounts for a variety of car manufacturers.
All Vibra-Technics technical staff have over 35 years experience in the design of automotive powertrain & suspension mounting systems, and this experience was gained working for a number of multi-national rubber companies that engaged in the design & manufacture of chassis components used by all the major automobile manufacturers.
Vibra-Technics have developed a range of mounts which are designed to significantly reduce the suspension geometry change that results from acceleration, braking and cornering forces. This give improvements in car stability and the cornering "feel" without limiting normal suspension travel. They are not hard versions of standard mounts, but a completely re-engineered solution, giving improved durability and handling for both road cars and competition cars.
Vibra-Technics engine mounts are manufactured primarily from natural rubber compounds, and occasionally from blends of synthetic & natural rubber to give particular properties for specific applications. Extensive experience and testing in all kinds of environmental conditions by automobile manufacturers has shown that natural rubber compounds can provide both performance and durability. Where the rubber attaches to the metal components, the rubber is chemically bonded to the metal during the moulding process, using the latest chemical adhesive systems.
Vibra-Technics rubber-to-metal bonded engine mounts are designed specifically for high performance applications where a direct replacement for the standard mount is required, along with a much higher level of engine control to cope with higher engine outputs and higher road inputs caused by fast driving.
The fast road engine mounts give significant improvements in ride and handling without adversely affecting vibration isolation. The competition engine mounts improve handling, whist giving vibration isolation at high engine speeds. Competition engine mounts are not recommended for road use.
