Castrol React SRF Racing Brake Fluid is a high performance brake fluid of special value in competitive Motorsport where extreme braking conditions are encountered.

Castrol React SRF Racing has a very high vapour lock point (the more important measure of high temperature performance under actual braking conditions), and has the additional advantage of sustaining high vapour lock point characteristics during its service life.

In order to achieve the optimum benefits in such applications, advanced materials have been employed in a unique and patented Castrol formulation.

The use of Castrol React SRF should be restricted to not more than eighteen months before draining and refilling for maximum efficiency. Prolonged use in excess of the recommended period may give rise to a deterioration in performance at very low temperatures.

The exceptionally high dry boiling point, (typically 320ºC) makes Castrol React SRF ideal for use under arduous braking conditions such as racing or rallying.

Rated with a dry boiling point of 320ºC and a wet boiling point of 270ºC.

Castrol React SRF Racing exceeds US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, ISO 4925, JIS K2233 and current SAE J 1703 specifications.

Suitable for all types of Motorsport.

Supplied in a 1 litre bottle.

Dry Boiling Point vs Wet Boiling Point Explained:

  • The dry boiling point refers to the boiling temperature of fresh, brand new brake fluid. Whereas the wet boiling point refers to the temperature DOT brake fluid begins to boil after it has absorbed 3.7% water by volume. DOT brake fluid will reach this level of water volume after roughly 2 years of use, which is why it is advisable to renew the brake fluid every 1-2 years. (it is not uncommon for track cars to replace the brake fluid every 3-6 months, or racers to replace the brake fluid every single event)

note: do not mix brake fluids, perform a flush with the brake fluid you intend to use.
