RRC Magnetic Sump Plugs feature a powerful magnet that can pick up a 1kg weight, and both protect & increase the lifespan of the engine.
The magnet attracts and separates out the tiny abrasive and ferrous metal particles that are carried by engine oil, stopping them circulating through the engine’s lubrication system.
Particles can appear in the oil lubrication system due to many reasons, be it wear and tear due to prolonged stress levels or as a result of particles not being removed by flushing operations after boring or machining.
The harder the engine works, the greater the risk of debris, the greater the benefit of using a magnetic sump plug. Removing the unwanted particles is necessary in order to prevent excessive wear on the engine's components.
Manufactured from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminium with a hard-wearing anodised finish.
