Returns & Cancellations

At Rival Motorsport, we are committed to providing superior performance parts and outstanding customer service. While we strive to ensure that all our products meet your needs, we recognise that there may be instances where you'll need to return a product or cancel an order. In such cases, please refer to the following policy:

1. Returns and Refunds Policy:

  • We offer a 14-day returns and refund policy in line with the Distance Selling Regulations. You must request a return within this 14-day window from the date of delivery.

  • A full refund, excluding delivery costs, will be provided once the product is returned in its original, unopened, and unused condition and in its original packaging.

  • The customer is responsible for the return delivery cost.

  • Before you can make a return, you'll need to get a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. This helps us recognise the item when it arrives and understand the reason for the return. Contact us at support@rivalmotorsport.co.uk to obtain your RMA number. Returns made without an RMA number will not be processed. Please note that the RMA number must be obtained within 14 days of receiving your goods.

Exceptions to this policy include:

  • Products ordered in error or due to a change of mind may be eligible for a credit note at our discretion.

  • Products that are faulty due to the manufacturing process may be returned under the manufacturer's warranty, typically within three months. For such returns, the buyer is responsible for the return of the goods to the address directed by us.

  • We will offer a credit note on return, inclusive of a maximum of £10 postage costs. We recommend using www.parcel2go.com for anything larger than a small Jiffy Bag; the Post Office can be used for smaller items. This service allows up to 25kg for £10, and this is the maximum we will refund on return postage fees due to our error.

  • Products damaged in transit CANNOT be refunded. If a product is damaged in transit, the recipient must NOT sign for the delivery. Instead, refuse delivery by the courier and contact us for further details at support@rivalmotorsport.co.uk.

  • Ex-Display items and clearance products can not be returned.

2. Cancellation Policy:

  • If you decide to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, we will refund the full order amount, minus payment processing fees (e.g., PayPal's 2.9% + 20p, Klarna is 7% + 30p). This is to recover costs associated with order processing, we are not going to cover the costs of transactions fees because you have changed your mind. A £1000 order means we would lose £70 for no reason of our own.

3. Special Orders / Custom Made:

  • Special order or bespoke items cannot be cancelled or returned, as they are created specifically to your requirements and cannot be repurposed for other customers.
  • Braided brake lines are custom made as and when to your colour choice and are not returnable.
  • Brake Discs (Colour Treatment) - cannot be cancelled or returned, as they are created specifically to your requirement.

Please take note that the item you wish to return must remain in its original packaging and should not have been used or damaged in any way. Refunds will be refused for items with damaged, marked, or missing packaging. When returning the item to Rival Motorsport, please ensure that no duck/duct tape is used.

Please be aware that returns are subject to a restocking fee of 20%. This fee will be deducted from your refund once we receive the returned items. Please note that Rival Motorsport will not cover the shipping cost for the returned item, and we will not refund the shipping cost from Rival Motorsport to you, as this was a provided service and cannot be returned.

The restocking fee is calculated as follows: Total Sale Value - Shipping Costs - Any Used Discounts - 20% = Refund Amount.

In some cases, we may choose to waive the restocking fee as a goodwill gesture. However, this decision will be made by our returns team upon receiving the return. Please understand that waiving the fee once does not guarantee future waivers, as it is solely at the discretion of Rival Motorsport.

For third-party items (such as Milltek, Scorpion, Cobra, Maxton Design, etc.), it is mandatory to return them in their original packaging. We will not accept returns for items that are not returned to us in their original box and/or packaging. This requirement also applies if the box/packaging is damaged to the extent that it cannot be sent out as a "Brand New" item.

To arrange a return, simply contact our support team, and we will guide you through the process. Please note that the cost of return postage will be borne by the customer.

Please be informed that Rival Motorsport cannot reimburse you for return postage. Additionally, if a refund is approved, it will only be for the amount of the product and will not include the outbound postage costs.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights. We encourage customers to review their orders carefully before finalising their purchases. If you have any queries about our products or policies, please don't hesitate to contact us.
