BRAID

The BRAID idea was born in 1976 because of the need for quality performance wheels for two Motorsport drivers, before beginning as a small artisan company in 1979 to suit the needs of the Spanish market for reliable Motorsport wheels. The very first wheels produced was “3 piece split rims” for a SEAT 124, which went to win the Spanish championship that same year!

As a trusted partner, BRAID produced wheels for a wide range of automotive applications such as racing, aftermarket and special equipment for the OEMs. Different alliances, partnerships and developments have resulted in exclusive projects and extremely high-tech wheels working alongside highly acclaimed Motorsport manufacturers, including Seat Sport, Peugeot Sport, Renault Sport, & Hyundai Motorsport to name a few.

This tradition started back in 1988, with AX Circuit Championship from Citroën, delivering the well-known Serie 1R 3 piece wheels. Because of the unbeatable quality and price relation throughout BRAID's history, they have been providing performance wheels as official and exclusive partner to mainstream car manufacturers, cups and championships, in both rallies & circuits.

As time progressed BRAID have been involved in challenges such as Nissan Raid, Nissan 350Z Cup, Suzuki Swift Rally Cup, Mitsubishi RMC cup, Fiat 500 cup, Seat Leon Eurocup, Renault Clio R3T trophy, Peugeot 308 racing cup, Danish Thundersport Championship, and many others!

BRAID has certainly earned its distinction in international level, like FIA World Touring Car Championship, FIA Formula E Championship, FIA WTCR championship, FIA World Rallycross championship, as a truly superior wheels' provider containing the highest and most innovative levels of technology and design.

The success tale of BRAID started because of the passion for Motorsport and the pursuit for perfection. In 2018 Porsche engineers and technicians wanted BRAID to equip their new Porsche Cayman R-GT, and in the same year the Hyundai i30N TCR equipped with BRAID wheels claimed the superb FIA WTCR championship title!

Today BRAID are now known as the "Wheel Tailors" because of their techniques to produce and customise exclusive wheels.
